Corporate sponsorship is most valuable when it connects a company with a cause that employees and customers can understand immediately. Mental health is one of those causes. It touches workplaces, schools, families and communities, which is why the CRC Memorial Tennis Tournament gives Albuquerque businesses an unusually relevant local opportunity.
First, sponsorship is visible. The event’s current packages range from $250 to $10,000 and include combinations of website and social recognition, event signage, courtside banners, T-shirt placement, event announcements, tables and activation opportunities. This is not a donation that disappears into the background; it allows companies to be publicly associated with a community effort.
Second, the beneficiary has a clear New Mexico mission. Breaking the Silence New Mexico has worked since 2011 to promote mental-health literacy, advocacy and well-being through education and personal stories. Programs operate statewide, and the organization is headquartered in Albuquerque.
Third, the event can support employee engagement. A company can sponsor and also invite employees to volunteer, play, attend or share campaign materials. That creates a more meaningful internal experience than simply writing a check.
Fourth, the impact story is concrete. The 2026 fundraising materials state that $5,000 can support 40 sessions of two Talking Mental Health lessons across 20 classrooms, reaching at least 400 students. That gives businesses a credible story to tell employees, clients and stakeholders about why they participated.
Fifth, timing matters. Local nonprofit events depend on community decisions made close to the event. A late sponsorship can still help fund the mission, amplify the tournament through a company’s own channels and introduce new people to the cause. Even if some printed-material deadlines have passed, digital recognition, social content and event-day visibility can still create value depending on the package and production schedule.
Albuquerque companies do not need to be tennis businesses to participate. Law firms, banks, construction companies, health and wellness organizations, restaurants, professional services firms, retailers, real-estate companies and technology employers all have employees and customers affected by mental-health issues.
