Serve It Up For Life!

Uniting for Suicide Prevention and Community Support

The thunderous roar of tennis balls meeting rackets, the infectious spirit of camaraderie, and the resounding call to ‘serve your community and make a positive impact’ mark the essence of the Serve it Up for Life Annual Tennis Tournament. This much-anticipated event represents not just a showcase of sporting prowess, but a rallying cry for a crucial cause – suicide prevention in New Mexico.

The CRC Serve it up for Life Tennis Event was established in January 2024 after our son, Christopher” Ryan” Collins, lost his 6-year battle with mental illness. Ryan’s father and I didn’t want his life and his journey to be kept secret, so we established the event to help bring awareness to our community. We decided to partner with Breaking the Silence New Mexico because their vision is to end the stigma, shame, silence and secrecy surrounding mental illness and suicide. Ryan helped many of his friends who were struggling; he became a sounding board, taking on their problems and providing them with comfort and guidance. We want to continue his work and help fund more education to this ever increasing population.

In a world where the weight of individual struggles can sometimes seem insurmountable, the Serve it Up for Life tournament serves as a beacon of hope and solidarity. Dedicated to raising awareness and essential funds for suicide prevention, this charity event brings together players, supporters, and advocates from near and far to make a tangible difference in the lives of those battling mental health challenges.

Organized with unwavering commitment and passion, the tournament stands as a testament to the power of collective action. Every swing of the racket, every cheer from the sidelines, and every contribution toward Breaking The Silence NM signifies a step taken towards building a safer, more compassionate community for all.

As participants take to the courts, they not only showcase their athletic prowess but also embody the spirit of giving back and supporting one another. Through their participation, they become ambassadors of change, exemplifying how coming together can truly create a ripple effect of positivity and transformation.

The funds raised during this momentous event hold profound significance, as they will directly benefit suicide prevention efforts through Breaking The Silence NM. Each donation, each sponsorship, and each gesture of support will play a pivotal role in extending a lifeline to those in need and fostering a culture where mental health is prioritized and advocated for.

So, to all who have come together in the spirit of compassion, sportsmanship, and community support, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your presence at the Serve it Up for Life Annual Tennis Tournament not only enriches the sporting landscape but also illuminates the path toward a brighter, more resilient future for all.

In the spirit of unity, generosity, and unwavering hope, let us serve our community and make a positive impact that reverberates far beyond the confines of the tennis courts. Together, we can stand tall as champions of change, advocates for mental health, and beacons of light for those in need.

Welcome to Serve it Up for Life – where every serve, every volley, and every heartfelt gesture serves a greater purpose in the fight against suicide and in building a more compassionate, supportive community for all.
